There are several things that can alert you to an existing or a potential problem with your system. The sooner you call for service, the less likely you are to lose valuable landscaping. Some of the indicators are:
1. Obvious dry areas - cracks, browning spots in the lawn, wilting shrubbery. These can indicate stopped up heads, broken heads or lines, trash in the lines.
2. A section that is slow to go off, fluctuating pressure in a section, a "growling" sound when the section comes on, a section that will not come on or shut off. All can indicate a problem with the diaphram.
3. A controller that works in the semi-automatic or manual mode but will not come on automatically when set. The auto motor may need replacing. Or the pins may not be in all the way in the time or day wheel.
